Sony recently released a new update for its firmware ,on the Sony PS3, that when downloaded and installed will cause the console to become completely unresponsive.
The update was originally supposed to add a trophy notification system and also make the system more stable.
Sony has since taken the update down to minimize the number of compromised systems.
As of yet, Sony has no fix for this problem and strongly advises against downloading the update.
